GM Releases Pricing on 2012 Buick GS and Buick eAssist

GM debuted its eAssist technology, which is actually a mild hybrid, on the 2012 Buick LaCrosse at the 2010 LA Auto Show. With plans to offer the technology on many its other models, the automaker recently introduced the technology on the new Buick Regal at this year’s Chicago Auto Show. Like its LaCrosse counterpart, the eAssist Regal gets significantly improved fuel-economy, achieving 26mpg city and 37mpg highway.

In the Regal, the eAssist system is mated to the model’s 2.4L four-cylinder and uses a 115V lithium-ion battery tied to a small 15 horsepower electric motor. Regenerative braking, automatic start/stop, lower rolling resistance tires on 17-inch alloys, a powerflow readout in the infotainment screen, and an eco guage on the instrument panel all help the Regal get its 26/37 mpg.

The eAssist 2012 Buick Regal will go on sale in the fall of this year. More details can be found in GM’s press release.

The 2013 Chevrolet Malibu will not be seen in U.S showroom till next year.
In North-America, the new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu will launch with GM's e-Assist powertrian which combines a 2.4-liter Ecotec direct-injection 4-cylinder gasoline engine linked with a six-speed automatic to a lithium-ion battery and an electric motor-generator that enable regenerative braking electric assist and start-stop functionality. And this gaslion engine produces an output power of 180HP but it receives up to 15 more horsepower at the time of acceleration from eAssist system.

Firebird Concept Cars

I had to chuckle just a little about the "space ship" look to these.

Although the Firebird III does resemble the Cuda, Charger, Challenger, Corvette, Firebird and Camaro of later years, well if you squint real hard and have a headache.

Feasibility studies in the 30's by Emmett Conklin (the only person qualified

to drive the Firebird I) designed the first gas turbine powered car to see if it had any redeeming qualities. Redeeming? You mean other than going 100 MPH and being a jet engine on a chassis. Hmmmm, let's see, that would do it for me! Later Maury Rose would test drive this car at the Indianapolis Speedway. No speeds given for that test drive, however, it was noted that Conklin shut it down at 100 MPH when he shifted to 2nd gear the tires lost traction. Really?

Now that reminds of the "Little Nash Rambler" song...Beep, Beep.

Now Chevrolet had inspired the people by making a different look of the car in the Transformer 3, Dark of the Moon movie, which is going to be release on 29th of june in the theartes with a new look of 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Edition. With this now Chevrolet automaker had decided to manufacture the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Edition version to fans living in the Us, Canada, China, Japan, Europe, South Africa and the MiddleEast.

The Limited Edition Camaro model based on the Autobot "Bumblebee" Character. This 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Edition package will be offered at $3,000 on 2LT and 2SS Camaro Coupes with a Rally Yellow[banana colour] paint, Autobot badges on the fender, black stripes down the hood,roof and the tail, Bumblebee-specific rear spoiler and a set of 20" Inch alloy wheels wrapped summer high-performance tiers and a sporting Autobot-logo center caps for alloy-wheels.

The GM is also offered with 21" inch alloy-wheels with black painted [As a Optional*]

The Interior of the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Edition get a special unique trimmed in Black leather with a yellow stitching finish on the instrument panel, center console, seats and arm-rest. And a Special Autobot shield logo for this 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Edition are embroidered on the front seat's, as well as on the center console lid.

The Booking of this 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers Edition will open in JULY, In US and Canada the limited edition Camaro is arriving the dealer showroom in September.

GM confirms 2012 Chevorlet Camaro ZL1 with Automatic 6speed-transmission System

GM confirms 2012 Chevorlet Camaro ZL1 with Autmatic 6speed-transmission

On the occasion of the Candian debut of the 2012 Chevorlet Camaro ZL1. General Motors chief engineer confirmed that a 6-Speed Automatic Transmission System will be offered.

2012 Chevorlet Camaro ZL1 is boosted with an 6.2-liters V-8 engine with an output power of 550HP horsepower and a 550 lb-ft (745 Nm) of torque.

GM has told that 2012 Chevorlet Camaro ZL1 will be launched in the market in the beginning of 2012.
